Outcome
An Outcome is an evaluated consequence concerning one or more Subjects after relevant Activity, Event, or other system change.
Specification-sourced: quoted from the governing specification, pending the applicable specification-owner approvals. The specification controls.
In plain words
Outcome records what the system has sufficient basis to say changed, not what participants hoped would change. A single transition may yield separate ecological, economic and community Outcomes for different Subjects, each with its own evidence, timing and uncertainty.
What it is not
Outcome ≠ Activity
An Outcome is an evaluated consequence supported by observations and evidence; Activity only records what was done, and completion is not success. Activity Is Not Outcome · Canonical Model & Protocol (source: 04 §13.2)
Outcome ≠ Formation
A Formation is the arrangement that has come together to coordinate Activity; an Outcome is an evaluated consequence that may later be attributed to it, never something its establishment guarantees. Formation Is More Than a Group · Concept Paper (source: 01 §7.1)
